What does prophetic Unity mean?
Why do we use the Term prophetic?

The word prophetic can and does mean different things to different people,
for it does have many meanings.
We here would like to define what we mean by PROPHETIC.
Anything more - that's God business, for John 3:30 says:
He must increase, but I must decrease.

1.) One of the meanings of Prophetic is:

a.) the "proclaiming of spiritual truth" OR "proclaim how things should be".
b.) predictive; presageful or portentous; ominous: prophetic signs; prophetic warnings.

Simply meaning: to declare or indicate in advance; especially: foretell on the basis of observation, experience, or scientific.

THIS (both a and b) is what we here, mean by the word PROPHETIC.

So from ones knowledge of the Word of God and what it says (observation), and by ones experience, you can and do prophecy. Especially if walking by the Spirit and In Spirit Holy - with Dabar attending!
If you in any way speak or act as to bring forth(proclaim) His word or spiritual truths, you are prophesying!!! (Dabar). If you by experience, see what a situation will bring forth, and you share this with someone, you ARE prophesying!

Jesus WAS depicting, prophesying, the arrival of the Son of Man and immanent judgment on unrepentant sinners.

The Book of Revelation in the New Testament is accepted by many Christians as a prophecy that includes divine promises of an anointed Messiah or Christ that would: lead the people, personally issue judgment at the end times, Armageddon, His Bride, ETC.

We are instructed in the New Testament to act, walk, and do certain things (set our minds on the things of the spirit not flesh) - THIS IS being prophetic as you do them.

You know something in advance, that will come to those who repent not of their sins or who do, so you in action or word, do that which you feel led to do, so the Good News can be brought forth.

We are told of how the Body should be one, IN UNITY. Which we do not yet see this; as it was spoken by Jesus.
THIS IS PROPHETIC UNITY and spiritual truths that will bring this forth (in word or deed) is the proclaiming this prophetic unity.

John 17:21-24
21 so that they all might be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, so that they too might be one in Us, so that the world might believe that You have sent Me.
22 "And the esteem which You gave Me I have given them, so that they might be one as We are one,
23 "I in them, and You in Me, so that they might be perfected into one, so that the world knows that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
24 "Father, I desire that those whom You have given Me, might be with Me where I am, so that they see My esteem which You have given Me,...

This proclaiming, speaking forth what Jesus said, is prophetic. When you speak such, you too are being prophetic, for you are proclaiming how things should be.

We here at MHGservants, grew up in Christ through many directions, on the outward. Those being:
1.)The catholic charismatic movement
and others
2.) The presbyterian church and then a fundamental baptist church.

Our definition of Prophetic, I am sure, is FAR different than many out there using the term prophetic.
Most every believer is prophetic! For they proclaim either in word or with their life, what they believe the gospel says, this will show forth either in how one lives, and what one says. (OR else they proclaim their unbelief - or another gospel, another jesus. another spirit)

For ones who have walked with the Lord longer, they have experiences under their belt, so when this is spoken, as one feels the leading to, this too is being prophetic (even if you don't think you get an unction from the Holy Spirit!!!).

It is NOT a mystical word!!!!!!

Many think and say, it is being the mouth piece for God.
This may be true, but for me, I think that's a bit strong.

But if it is He in someone, directed by the Holy Spirit and this is what is meant by a mouth piece, then I will agree (Basically allowing that increase which took the place of the decrease to come forth - although it may be a gift given).

The other may be true, we are not coming against what others say prophetic means, we are simply saying, what we believe for the most part, what it means for us, and how the Lord uses us in this.

So if we have the wrong word, which according to our knowledge, we don't, then we are sorry for the use of the word "prophetic".

In our daily lives, we don't usually use this word.

But when I started this site, and what I read about how to make it appealing to all types of readers, I felt it was ok to use the term prophetic, for this is what many are into, (whether christian OR not) and yet most of these have had a need to grow up even more in Christ (as we all), and some do not know Him as of Yet.
So it was a way to get the attention of all, so as to present Biblical truths from our experience and knowledge, to as many as we could. Besides - the title and words used were Spirit moved and brought forth.
(This is much like one who walks in seeing visions, but because of how they grew up, they never heard the term "vision", that does NOT nullify the fact.)

For the non believer, they often look to such as Nostradamus. It seems most everyone, these days, wants to know what's coming ahead, what's next? So as to not be caught off guard. This is wisdom.

ALL christians have the answer to that in the Bible, and in this, you ARE prophesying, according to the definition of Prophecy.

And as for the word Prophetic Unity in out title - I did ask the Most High and this seemed the direction and term to use (what level do you want to hear things from - and spoken from??? - for the spirit encompasses them all!!!). It was not just man and thinkings of man. Let that be known. He does doirect our footsteps - but I am NOT one to claim God said this and this. I share what I believe He has said - or the Spirit within me. If it is there to put it another way - so be it.

True prophetic (in whatever form) must inevitably rub uncomfortably against worldliness and the powers thereof.

However - we still have a duty to proclaim how things should be.

Prophecy or prediction has been defined as a "miracle of knowledge, a declaration or description or representation of something future, beyond the power of human sagacity to foresee, discern, or conjecture."
Hence it would take experiencial walking through His ordinances (judgments - seals)to foresee beyond the human,
or via another way, the Holy Spirit illuminating ones heart and mind to wake up to ______. Which does come via the experiencial walk, but not limited to such - He can and does just speak to some.

Smiths Bible names Dictionary says:

The ordinary Hebrew word for prophet (prophetic taken from this word) is nabi, derived from a verb signifying "to bubble forth" like a fountain; hence the word means one who announces or pours forth the declarations of God. The English word comes from the Greek prophetes (profetes), which signifies in classical Greek one who speaks for another, especially one who speaks for a god, and so interprets his will to man; hence its essential meaning is "an interpreter." The use of the word in its modern sense as "one who predicts" is post-classical. The larger sense of interpretation has not, however, been lost.

In fact the English word has been used in a closer sense. The different meanings or shades of meanings in which the abstract noun is employed in Scripture have been drawn out by Locke as follows: "Prophecy comprehends three things: prediction; singing by the dictate of the Spirit; and understanding and explaining the mysterious, hidden sense of Scripture by an immediate illumination and motion of the Spirit......

Vines says:
Prophecy, Prophesy, Prophesying

A-1 Noun Strong's Number: 4394 Greek: propheteia
signifies "the speaking forth of the mind and counsel of God" (pro, "forth," phemi, "to speak:" see PROPHET); in the NT it is used (a) of the gift, e.g., Rom 12:6; 1Cr 12:10; 13:2; (b) either of the exercise of the gift or of that which is "prophesied," e.g., Mat 13:14; 1Cr 13:8; 14:6,22; 1Th 5:20, "prophesying (s);" 1Ti 1:18; 4:14; 2Pe 1:20,21; Rev 1:3; 11:6; 19:10; 22:7,10,18,19. "Though much of OT prophecy was purely predictive, see Mic 5:2, e.g., and cp. Jhn 11:51, prophecy is not necessarily, nor even primarily, fore-telling. It is the declaration of that which cannot be known by natural means, Mat 26:68, it is the forth-telling of the will of God, whether with reference to the past, the present, or the future, see Gen 20:7; Deu 18:18; Rev 10:11; 11:3. ...

continuing on he says:

"With the completion of the canon of Scripture prophecy apparently passed away, 1Cr 13:8,9. In his measure the teacher has taken the place of the prophet, cp. the significant change in 2Pe 2:1. The difference is that, whereas the message of the prophet was a direct revelation of the mind of God for the occasion, the message of the teacher is gathered from the completed revelation contained in the Scriptures." * [* From Notes on Thessalonians by Hogg and Vine, pp. 196,197.]

But this I do not believe nullifies the word Prophecy.
For He(Jesus) said, I have many more things to tell you.....

Let alone the more usable term of the word - to Proclaim spiritual truths.

In the deeper study of the word Dabar, we see this to be true. And yes one CAN prophecy with an instrument, or in action..

One can prophecy in many ways, sometimes through words, sometimes in conversation, sometimes through creative art, or speaking prophetically through our actions. This is what is meant by prophetic in this context. Sometimes God calls us to act out the message He is sending, but often this is not you seeing and doing this on purpose, it just seems to happen as you are obediant.(unless it be for demonstration purpose in which it is the best way so as for others to see) But I would not rule out the other by any means. One may speak of the other realms, having this opened up to them (so as to help others in the body), for where you are spiritually today in your walk,(if you were to die) that is where you would be. For we are spirit soul and body and it be just the body that is done away with, the physical housing.
The seventy elders of Israel (Num. 11:16-29), "when the spirit rested upon them, prophesied;" Asaph and Jeduthun "prophesied with a harp" (1 Chr. 25:3).

John the Baptist was given a message and mission to prepare Jesus' way. Today, you may be given a message and mission that God would use to prepare the world in which you would touch, for the final coming of Jesus. The preparatory
part of that message and mission can be called prophetic.
It is futuristic in nature because God is telling you
where and how to build, and as a builder you see God's
plan as an architect.

Are you a visionary? Prophesying forth in word or deed?

For us He has given us a perception to see that He wants His Bride to be prepared, ready and the means to get there.
We are not really concerned about all the events that will take place, but the getting into proper position in Spirit, dwelling where we are to be, NOW, and the growing up, maturing the saints so as to be ready. It's the sounding of a trumpet for many reasons, for the readying(which can also be warnings) and for what He will be bringing forth in the Joyous time ahead.

For some reason, I felt it NECESSARY NOW to speak on this subject matter.
